First, thank you. Thank you for considering adoption, and thank you for considering us as an adoptive family.
We'll get the hard part out of the way first: We lost our little girl 3 years ago. Elise was the light in our lives, and when her life was taken from us we were thrown into darkness. We feel our family just isn't complete without a child to love. We have undergone infertility treatments, but have really felt all along that adoption was the answer. Every child is their own, amazing little person, and no child is meant to replace our Elise. We've truly been through the best of times and the worst of times together. Our hearts have so much capacity to love and nurture, and we'd love to have a child in our little family. We believe in letting kids get messy, twirl and play, and be KIDS.
A bit about us: Jacob is a Building Inspector, and Lily is an Administrative Assistant both with the City Fort Collins. We attended Colorado State University (Go Rams!). We met while we were in school, and dated for several years. We have now been married for 12 years. Our current family consists of 2 dogs (Boris and Megatron), 2 cats (Chunk and Fraggle), and a bird (Pippi).
We live in the house that Lily’s grandparents built, which we bought from Lily’s grandpa. The house is a 1960s ranch style with a big yard that we’ve had fun updating and turning into our home. We have a lot of different hobbies, including collecting haunted house props, following our favorite football teams, and enjoying concerts. We LOVE Halloween, weird facts, animals, being geeky, singing loudly, and the Ghostbusters.
We thank you for considering us, and no matter what lucky family you choose to raise your baby, thank you for considering adoption!
