We are Erik, Heidi, Elliot, and Oakey Habbinga. We live in Fort Collins. Erik is a software engineer at a local company. He works very near our ho
me so that he comes home almost every day to have lunch with Heidi and Elliot. Heidi is an architect, but is currently staying at home caring for our son, Elliot, full-time. Oakey is our wonderful dog.
Erik grew up in Colorado Springs with his parents and an older sister. His father is retired military, which required the family to move multiple times before Erik was six years old, finally settling in Colorado.
Heidi grew up in Ann Arbor, Michigan with her parents and two brothers. Her older brother is adopted and 16 months older than Heidi. Her parents fostered him from when he was just 6 days old. She settled in Colorado in 2005.
Heidi and Erik met in Denver about ten years ago. We always knew that we wanted a family and love the vision of a couple of children to love and explore the world with. After we were married we started our journey growing our family. Our son Elliot was born in 2013 and we are enjoying him immensely! We would love to add another child to our family. We feel that we have the love, energy, resources, and desire to nurture a second child.
