Lacy Simon, BSW
Lacy is an Intern Adoption Caseworker. She works with birth parents, adoptive parents and those who seek resources in the Dream Room. She offers support to birth parents and adoptive parents through their unique adoption journey. In addition, she works to coordinate and manage the Dream Room weekly, to ensure the resources are available to the Larimer County community.
Lacy has known since sixth grade that she had a passion to work in the adoption field. After watching her cousins adopt their children, she knew that adoption is the field she wanted to dedicate her life to. She now has eleven cousins from both domestic and international adoptions. Seeing them thrive in loving, safe homes has shown Lacy how absolutely life changing adoption can be for both birth families and adoptive families. Lacy is elated to be working with Adoption Dreams Come True to help bring families together.
Lacy is currently in Colorado State University’s Bachelor of Social Work degree program. She will be graduating in May of 2017. After she graduates with her Bachelor’s degree, she will be going into Colorado State University’s Advanced Standing Master of Social Work degree program to further her education. She has focused on courses tied to adoption, child development and family relationships and will continue to do so through her secondary degree.
