Dear Birth Parent(s)
Thank you. We understand that considering what’s best for your child is an enormous responsibility, and we admire your strength in considering adoption. Although it is difficult for us to fully comprehend the rollercoaster of emotions that you may be going through, we are here to support you in any way that we can.
We're hoping to grow our family to three, and share our love with a child through adoption. We both took our time finding the perfect match but when we met four years ago, we knew we were done looking. We both love the great outdoors, traveling, and food, so it was clear we were meant to be together. It wasn't long before we agreed that we wanted to bring a child into our lives. From the beginning, we knew we were unable to bear a child, so adoption has been on our minds from the start and we are ready to open our hearts and home.
We moved to Colorado because we love the sunshine, mountains, and fresh air. Although we are far from our families, we get to see them each a few times per year - even those who live in New Zealand! We each have nieces and nephews and love family reunions and holidays. We also have a strong and diverse group of friends both near and far, and are blessed to live in beautiful Colorado where folks always want to visit! We’re looking forward to going camping and hiking with a child in the summer, and explore the bunny slopes in the winter.
Toby is strong, adventurous, and creative. He grew up in New Zealand and has been in the United States for 17 years, working as an engineer. When we moved to Colorado, he started a small software company and now works from home. He plays rugby in the summer and is mastering skiing in the winter. He loves lamb chops and homemade pizza on the grill.
Liz is kind, compassionate, and smart. She grew up in Vermont, and has gradually moved further west over her life. She's now a primary care doctor who specializes in elderly patients. Liz loves camping and the challenge of cooking over an open fire. She also enjoys dancing, especially salsa, and dance parties in the kitchen while dinner cooks.
We are grateful for our families and supportive community of local friends. We value eating together as a family, whether it is just the two of us, or a Thanksgiving meal of 25! We love walking, traveling, and snuggling on the couch. We believe children need a supportive, caring environment in which to experience the world. We both grew up with a lot of freedom to explore, to learn through both success and failure, and we value this as a family. We feel we are equipped to offer this to a child and are excited to add to our family. We are interested in the possibility of an open adoption so that your child can experience double the love.
Thank you for taking the time to learn about us. We sincerely hope you find a family that will meet your expectations and be a perfect fit for your child. If you think we would be a good fit, we look forward to the possibility of meeting you.
