Dear Birth Parent,
Thank you for taking the time to read our letter and consider us. We know this is one of the most important and personal decisions you’ll ever make, and we approach it with deep respect, admiration, and gratitude.
We’re Ramya and Ram, married for nearly seven years. Today, we live in Windsor, Colorado, where we’ve built a life grounded in love, purpose, and community and where we hope to raise a child in a home filled with warmth, fun, and unconditional love. Our journey together began in Chicago in 2017, but our roots stretch across the world.
Ramya was born and raised in Bangalore, India, and moved to the U.S. in 2007. Ram was born in Chennai, India, raised across Southeast Asia, and moved to the U.S. in 2006.
Though we were both only children, we grew up surrounded by big, loving families filled with cousins, grandparents, traditions, and celebrations. Those experiences shaped who we are - thoughtful, family-oriented, and grounded in love and community. Our extended family now includes people from many cultures, including Indian, American, British, and Hispanic who are excited to welcome a new child into the fold.
Together, we balance each other well. Ramya is warm, creative, and nurturing; always finding ways to make everyday life feel joyful. Ram is calm, curious, and deeply connected to music, sports, and nature. We look forward to sharing these values and experiences with a child.
Our home is also full of love from our three doodles - Lulu, Zo, and Bommi, who are sweet, gentle, and especially loving with children. We know they’ll be wonderful companions to a little one.
We believe that open adoption is rooted in trust, honesty, and shared love for a child. If you choose us, your child will always know their story and how deeply they are loved by you, and by us. We’re open to ongoing contact in whatever way feels right for everyone be it letters, visits, or photos.
