UNPLANNED PREGNANCY
Adoption Dreams Come True provides birth parent support around options for an unplanned pregnancy. We believe that all birth parents should have access to counseling and support so they can make the best decision for themselves and their unplanned pregnancy. Our birth parent program is designed to help birth parents explore all their options, including parenting, adoption, and termination.
If a birth parent chooses adoption, we offer open, semi-open, and closed adoptions. The birth parent can choose a family from our waiting families who have been studied and licensed. Open adoption gives the birth parents peace of mind and the ability to get to know the parents who will raise their child.
If you are considering adoption or want to learn more about exploring your options, please contact us today to learn more about our services. We are here to help you through this difficult time and answer any questions you may have.

WHAT IS OPTIONS COUNSELING?
Options Counseling for birth parents can help you identify the best option for you and your child surrounding your unplanned pregnancy. Every situation is different, which is why our case workers will meet with you to discuss your individual needs, your situation, and your desires. At Adoption Dreams Come True, we collaborate with other services and agencies based on your final decision. These services include assistance for medical needs, housing, food, a job search, and more. If you’re experiencing an unplanned pregnancy and you’re interested in Options Counseling, contact our office today.
Making the decision to relinquish your child after an unplanned pregnancy is extremely difficult. It is a voluntary decision that involves an involved legal process. The State of Colorado requires that birth parents who have decided to relinquish their child must meet with a caseworker to discuss the legal and emotional aspects of the relinquishment process. Our Relinquishment Counseling process at Adoption Dreams Come True covers that legal process and paperwork, the selection of the adoptive parent(s) for your child, paternity rights, and emotional support to help with feelings of fear, grief, loss, and sadness during this process.
YOUR OPTIONS
If you have decided to relinquish your child and you’ve met with a caseworker from Adoption Dreams Come True, an adoption plan will be created. This plan includes proof of pregnancy, a birthing plan, your selection for an adoptive family, and the type of adoption that you choose. There are three options when it comes to adoption and the amount of future contact you may have with your child. These options include:
PEER COUNSELING
At Adoption Dreams Come True, we offer birth parents a unique opportunity to meet with other birth parents who have been in your shoes. Going through an unplanned pregnancy and considering adoption can be a difficult thing to do on your own. While each birth parent experiences unique and personal factors that lead them to relinquishment, you may find it helpful and comforting to talk to someone who has already gone through the process.
