ABOUT THE DREAM ROOM
We here at Adoption Dreams Come True recognize that many families with small children in our community need practical support. Because of this ongoing need, the Dream Room was created to serve this population. Our mission is to serve our customers with dignity and respect and provide a no-fee shopping experience.
The Dream Room offers a large selection of donated clothing, toys, baby gear, and diapers. Our dedicated team of Volunteers helps organize the donations received, so parents have an easier time finding what they are looking for. Let us know how we can further support you when you visit us!
HOW IT WORKS
If you are pregnant, you may shop at the Dream Room one month prior to your delivery date and then monthly after your baby is born, until the child is two years old. We hope this service will help alleviate some of the financial stress when caring for a new child.
A parent may take 7 complete outfits, 7 sleepers, diapers and a few accessories per child. Our reward is seeing a smile on the faces of our customers as they leave! As always, this service is free of charge. We ask that you provide proof of residence (EX: DMV i.d., or utility bill) and a copy of the child’s birth certificate, and you will then be added to our database. We do not keep these documents, only check them for validation.
If you are pregnant or have a child under the age of two and living in Northern Colorado, please come by and visit us! We are always happy to help support families in our community.
OUR HISTORY
Adoption Dreams Come True, Inc. is a Colorado State-licensed Child Placement Agency and a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. We were founded in 2005 by Cindy Sarai, MSW, and Emily Watson, LCSW and offer adoption and counseling services at a sliding scale fee for families. The Dream Room is a service we provide in addition to our base services to help support low-income families with new children.
The Dream Room was officially created in April of 2008, and this year we served almost 500 children and their families. Today, we have served 3500+ and the need for the services of the Dream Room continues! We hope to continue to provide support to our local communities and families for years to come.
